How to apply for Big Brother UK?

Applications for Big Brother 2024 opened on Friday, November 17, 2023.

Confirming the news, ITV bosses said: "We’re looking for the nation’s most interesting, funny and entertaining characters from all walks of life.

"If you want an amazing experience and a chance of winning an incredible amount of money, we’d love to hear from you."

Applications to be a housemate will close on July 19, 2024, at midnight.

What do I need to do?

To apply, you can do so online right now by going to the website here.

To be eligible for the show you must:

• Be over 18 years old.
• Have the right to reside or lawfully reside in the UK of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Island or the Isle of Man.
• Are available to take part in the programme for up to eight weeks from Autumn 2024.

If you are eligible, you will then be asked to fill in your details, share your social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and TikTok.

You must also complete an 'about you' section, where it's your chance to stand out and sell yourself.

You will also be required to upload media to support it.

This media must include a recent photograph and a short video clip.

When does Big Brother start?

ITV are yet to confirm the dates for the 2024 series of Big Brother.

As soon as we have an update, we will let you know.

AJ Odudu and Will Best present the new series together with a nightly spin-off.

Alongside the main highlights, there will be a live feed available to watch online on ITVX into the early hours.

Viewers will see a cast of fresh faces from all walks of UK life compete to charm the nation and win a whopping £100K.

The 2023 series saw Jordan win ITV's first-ever Big Brother and he walked away with the life-changing money.

The first words out of his mouth after his name was called out by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best summed him up perfectly.

"I can now pay my council tax," Jordan joked.

Olivia finished the series in second place, Henry in third, Yinrun fourth, and Noky in fifth

Big Brother first started on Channel 4 in 2000 and stayed on there for 10 years before moving over to Channel 5 from 2011 to 2018.
